2018 EGL lolita wardrobe post

So it is this time of the year again! - would I have said if it wasn't the first time in 7 years that I sit down to create a lolita wardrobe post.
I first got into fashion back in 2009, studying in school, and this beautiful style and community inspired me to start sewing. Gradually building my mostly handmade wardrobe with occasional sparkles of BtSSB, I suddenly lost an interest in fashion as I have started working in a big IT company combining it with university education and some sports as well. Selling and gifting all of my pieces, I left with one and only BtSSB JSK - deeply inside beleiving perhaps that I will one day feel the sparkle of emotions to puffy skirts and beautiful communities again - seems like I wasn't wrong haha!
April 2017 I have received a job offer away from my motherland, and moved to Warsaw - and all of a sudden I realized that I want to dress myself up again in gathered garmets and enjoy myself more in this fashion! And my journey started back again :)

You might notice that most of the pieces are 2010-2012 releases, and it can be easily explained by the fact that now I feel more confident in getting my dream pieces that were on my mind back in the days :)

And without any further ado, let's take a look in my closet!

Main Pieces

Innocent World Roman Trump JSK in brown; Angelic Pretty Royal Chocolate salopette (2012) in Mocha: first piece is my ultimately favorite print design by IW, very gentle, feminine, can be dressed up or down and very comfortable in wearing. The salopette was my attempt to jump on the 'Another Damn chocolate print' bandwagon by AP, and let me tell you, this is my most worn casually piece so far!

BtSSB Alice in the FunFair JSK I in ivory, and Angelic Pretty Moon Night Theater skirt in ivory. The first JSK is exactly the one that I was keeping since the Lolita Era I. I felt in love with the print once I firstly saw it on ShelbyCloud and was lucky enough to find it on yahoo! The skirt is my ode to the Cinema Doll print (which I am a bit afraid to get as I heard that lace is bleeding quite seriously on ivory dress). I am loving the pleats and all over print (which is my favorite type of prints for sure!)

Angelic Pretty Moon Night theater Pleated JSK in black and Angelic Pretty Fancy Melody OP in black. Speaking of pleats and Moon night theater, I was also able to acquire the same print in a more classy black version! This JSK has been altered by a previous wner so it sits quite tight on me, but looks great! The Castles on the print, mixed with magician hats and curtains, create strong Hogwarts vibes. The Fancy Melody OP is definitely a dream print of mine. I was dreaming of the JSK version in pink, but once I got my hands on black OP I realized I will stop he searching process for a pink piece! It fits great into retro themes, and I hope to be able to dress it a more classical way one day.
Belle Langue Code Print in Black, and BtSSB Alice and the Looking Glass of time in white. Being a software developer, I just had to get the Code Print! I really like the belt detailing, while the quality of the fabric was a bit of disappointment. But it's still fun to wear! The BtSSB is a total dream print/dream cut for me: the white and black contrast is so unique, and the delicate pattern performed with flocking is lookign quite elegant in my opinion!

The most OTT (if I may say so) dress in my collection so far is the BtSSB Le Lac des Cygnes OP in sax. Sax coloraway is the one that scream 'sweet lolita' to me, but thanks to the black print and detailing, the dress seems a bit more toned down. There are so many details on it, and I cannot wait to wear it to some super fancy occasion!

Extra pieces

Ank Rouge, Ank Rouge, Angelic Pretty, Axes Femme
Axes Femme, BtSSB, Axes Femme, Axes Femme
Angelic Pretty and Offbrand

Axes Femme, Offbrand, Secret Shop

The targets for 2018 are definitely to bring more blues to my wardrobe, perhaps some sweet style pastel skirt, more hair accesories and definitely more tops, preferable cardigans!
Thank you for chekcing the post out and see you soon xxx
