Wardrobe post!

Hello darling,

Happy new year!
I have been a bit behind my posts recently, but I couldn't skip the opportunity to engage myself into making this year's wardrobe post.

I must admit, 2018 was quite fruitful year for me. As I got back into lolita fashion, I have purchased some long back dream dresses back in 2017 - however this year, where I have actually started to wear the fashion frequently, I have made some swaps in the wardrobe and extending it  a bit. I managed to get my hands on some of long wanted dream pieces and even get a set of my dreams which was super cool.

My 2018 resolutions are sorta completed: i have increased amount of cardigans/blouses (not photographed this time though) and I did buy more navy!

For 2019, I want to sell the last bits that were bought on a whim or don't fit that well (well, I got a bit too excited with my new oven and may have baked a bit too many sweets), get some long term dream dresses from Victorian Maiden and Mary Magdalene, and keep on wearing the fashion quite often! Also, as I am in the stage of stabilizing my wardrobe, i'd like to find comfy bordeuax and cream or gold shoes and a classic purse.

Hello darling,

Couple of weeks ago, I was craving to deep dive into a girly atmosphere after a hardcore coding week, so I asked beautiful ladies from the Warsaw come out for some tea.

I was desperate for the place that is not over crowded, serves tasty sweets and potentially has a wide variety of teas to experiment with, so our choice fell to the Odette tea room, situated in Plac Grzybowski, in the business center of Warsaw🥂

The place is really great! The selection of cakes was spectacular (we even managed to match the cakes to the outfits of ours!), and tea options were even wider. As per advice of majestic Ada, I have tried a combination of rose black tea with milk - and oh boy, how tasty was that!

As it was more of a casual mini meet, I didn’t really want to dress up super fancy and I went ahead and tried my dream print in a form of a skirt for a preppy casual look.

2018 EGL lolita wardrobe post

So it is this time of the year again! - would I have said if it wasn't the first time in 7 years that I sit down to create a lolita wardrobe post.
I first got into fashion back in 2009, studying in school, and this beautiful style and community inspired me to start sewing. Gradually building my mostly handmade wardrobe with occasional sparkles of BtSSB, I suddenly lost an interest in fashion as I have started working in a big IT company combining it with university education and some sports as well. Selling and gifting all of my pieces, I left with one and only BtSSB JSK - deeply inside beleiving perhaps that I will one day feel the sparkle of emotions to puffy skirts and beautiful communities again - seems like I wasn't wrong haha!
April 2017 I have received a job offer away from my motherland, and moved to Warsaw - and all of a sudden I realized that I want to dress myself up again in gathered garmets and enjoy myself more in this fashion! And my journey started back again :)

You might notice that most of the pieces are 2010-2012 releases, and it can be easily explained by the fact that now I feel more confident in getting my dream pieces that were on my mind back in the days :)

Beware, it's Lucky Pack season!

End of December is not only a time for running errands and buying last minute presents, it is also a time for booking your Lucky Packs!
 Lucky packs, or Fukubukuro, is a great way to get rid of the stock widely used in Japan, First couple of days of January, many brands are packing the items that have not been sold out in a great value for money blind packs and are sellign them away.

Traditionally, Lolita brands are also participating in those amazing deals, and this year I also decided to take the plunge. But now, let's take a look at the offers that our beloved companies are prparing for us:

Angelic Pretty

Fairy Rose Princess by Angelic Pretty

This winter Angelic Pretty had cheered us with a variety of great prints, and one of them really called my name: the gorgeus Fairy Rose Princess. The series come in three cuts (JSK, Special Set JSK, Princess OP) as well as a veil headdress and the stockings.

Personally I would say that even though I am a JSK gal, this OP really caught my eye! The way the cut is complimenting the print and feeling of the dress is spectacular, and I would definitely see myself wearing the gown (I would even go this far to call the OP this way) to a super fancy tea party!

Winter International Lolita day 2017

After years of skipping Lolita fashion and sort of avoiding it even, this year I decided to add few bits and pieces to my wardrobe. This resulted in a bit overboard shopping adventure throught the entire 2017, and of course in a desire to wear the fashion more often.

This winter ILD however I was out of town, so I chose a very simple not so lolita outfit with some dream print of mine ^^'

These days are pretty busy at work, hence I am waiting for the Christmas Tea Party for an occasion to wear a fancier outfit.

The skirt though was a very pleasant surprise on how cute it looks in the reality! Already having the JSK from the same series in black,  I am event considering to possibly get another skirt in red colorway haha! 

Khronos Utopia by Angelic Pretty

During few last months I was asking myself: which direction lolita fashion is going to? Not being an expert in it at all, I however was noticing some worrying signs such as Angelic Pretty releases not being sold out in seconds, lack of blood baths during the first days of new items dropping to the market... However our beloved AP proved us wrong and introduced the new series called Khronos Utopia.

The series contains of the OP, the JSK, the canotier and the OTK socks.

First comes the OP

One piece presented in the Khronos Utopia series resembles a lot of the famous Misty Sky OP: higher waist, longer skirt, gentle poof of the sleeves, however it does have the differences also.
